Sedex SMETA
(Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audits)
The Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (Sedex) is a nonprofit membership organization that focuses on improving responsible and ethical business practices in the global supply chains. SMETA is the audit methodology created by Sedex as a standardized audit protocol that can be used to verify the ethical business practices in the global supply chains.
SMETA’s two types of audits (2-Pillar and 4-Pillar) cover a variety of criteria including labor standards, entitlement to work, and business ethics – among others. PJRFSI can offer the 2-Pillar and 4-Pillar audits to any company (food and non-food) that requires verification of their labor standards, business ethics health and safety practices.
